Two of SOC’s staff are commended for their distinguished contribution to the standardization of fuses

On October 15, 2021, H. Matsuzaki and N. Hata received the “Excellence Award for Distinguished Achievement 2021” from the Japan Electrical Manufacturers’ Association (JEMA). They have both been serving as members of the “Power Fuse Technological Committee” and “Low-voltage Fuse Standardization Working Group”, respectively, and contributed to the drafting of industrial standard “JIS C8377:2021 Requirements for fuse-links for protection of semiconductor devices” enacted on September 21, 2021.

A variety of fuses are widely used as protective devices, and there are many standards of fuses. The award was given for the activities in the above committees to modify the fuse standards to align with the revisions of laws and public procurement standards.

SOC Corporation, as a leading company in the fuse industry, will continue to contribute to the development of the economy and society through the establishment and amendment of the standards of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS).
